Shetina S. Bunn was born March 21, 1970 and is a native of North Carolina. She moved to Oklahoma with her mother and sister in 1976. Immediately following graduation from John Marshall High School, she attended the University of Central Oklahoma, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies. Over ten years later she returned to UCO and earned her Master’s Degree in Adult Education. Shetina has held two positions with the State of Oklahoma, a correctional officer at a woman’s maximum security prison, and her current position as probation and parole officer.
For years Shetina wrote and put together books for her family barbecues. She published her first book, “The V.I.C.T.I.M.S,” six short fictional stories of life issues when she was 44 years old. Her goal now is to expand her platform by developing and teaching a creative writing program.
Shetina is very active in church, holding positions on the cuisine team and as an usher. She lives a simple life and enjoys life’s simple pleasures which includes her love for the church, spending time with family and friends while enjoying good food with plenty of laughter, and traveling. She lives in the Oklahoma City area with her husband.
